The Department of Biomedical Sciences in the Creighton University School of Medicine invites applications for multiple tenure-track positions at the ranks of Assistant, Associate and Full Professor.
The department is under new leadership to further strengthen existing research programs by establishing centers on translational sensory neuroscience and cancer. Special consideration will be given to those
1) utilizing various translational approaches to auditory diseases, including drug development, gene therapy, genomic predisposition, animal models and clinical applications; or
2) examining aspects of signaling, gene regulation, and genome function in cancer with a focus on the identification of novel targets and computer-aided strategies for drug design.
Appointees will be expected to conduct a vigorous independent research program and participate in graduate and professional student teaching. Generous laboratory space with equipment, competitive start-up funding, and state-of-the art core facilities will be provided.
Applicants for junior positions should have a Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degree; postdoctoral training with significant research accomplishment; and scholarly promise. Applicants for senior positions should also have a record of extramural funding.
