Quantitative Biology: Preferably the candidate should have a quantitative/computing background (mathematics/statistics/physics/engineering etc.) and work experience in the area of modern biology, with a good publication track record. Genomics: Ideally the candidate should have a good computing background and be well versed in the analysis of diverse sets of genomic data. Preferably the candidate should have a quantitative/computing background with work experience in quantitative genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics or genome informatics and a good publication track record. Responsibilities: A faculty member is expected to work independently, build a strong research team, and develop extramurally funded research programmes. The faculty member is also expected to teach in the educational and training programmes of the institute, including the masters’ degree programme and the big data biology programme. Further, the faculty will work with other colleagues and share institutional responsibilities.
Eligibility: Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant scientific area, with minimum 3 years of post-doctoral/industrial experience and a good publication record in peer-reviewed journals. Candidates must have a good mathematical and computing background, including knowledge of programming languages.
Remuneration: This will be commensurate with expertise and experience.
