EXPERIMENTAL CONDENSED MATTER PHYSICS

The Department of Physics invites applications for a full-time tenured or tenure track faculty position in the fields of Experimental Biophysics or Experimental Condensed Matter Physics beginning as early as August 16, 2020. Senior and mid-career faculty are encouraged to apply, but all qualified candidates will be considered.
Scientists from all subfields of hard condensed matter experiment are encouraged to apply. We are also searching for candidates who use and develop experimental methods to understand living systems, either at the cellular or multicellular level. Candidates with experience in developing techniques oriented towards eukaryotic systems are particularly encouraged to apply. The successful individual will participate closely in the activities of our Center for the Physics of Living Cells, and will be expected to collaborate with other faculty in our group.
The successful candidate is expected to teach effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, have a strong publication record, and to lead a vigorous research program at the cutting edge of the field.
