As German Research Center for Environmental Health, Helmholtz Zentrum München pursues the goal of developing personalized medical approaches for the prevention and therapy of major common diseases such as diabetes mellitus, allergies and lung diseases. To achieve this, it investigates the interaction of genetics, environmental factors and lifestyle.
The Institute of Translational Genomics focusses on translating insights from genomics into mechanisms of disease development and progression. Our research leverages big data in genomics for medically important human traits, aiming to shorten the path to translation and empower precision medicine.
To support the institute’s director, Prof. Dr. Eleftheria Zeggini, we are looking for a highly qualified and motivated
Executive Scientific Assistant to the Head of Institute (f/m/d)
You will work closely with the institute director Prof. Dr. Zeggini, interfacing daily with the Institute’s operations team and central administration units. You will provide comprehensive support to the institute director at the interface of administration and science. You will have an exceptional level of responsibility and focus on efficient managerial processes, working seamlessly with the entire institute team.
In this position, you will act as a:
Communication expert with a proactive approach to communication and PR interfacing between the institute directorate and internal and external collaborators, stakeholders and decision-makers.Organizational mastermind supporting the institute director in day-to-day business, incl. administration of schedule, travel and teaching activities; preparation of scientific events, meetings and conferences; preparation of proposed resolutions for administrative issues and information condensation.Scientific personal assistant supporting the institute director and representing her at academic assemblies.
The successful applicant must have the following:
