The aim of the Institute of Asthma and Allergy Prevention (IAP) at Helmholtz Zentrum München is to investigate the underlying mechanisms of asthma and allergies in childhood. We focus on characterizing asthma phenotypes and identifying relevant protective microbial factors that prevent the development and manifestation of asthma and allergies.
