In the division of “Superconducting Magnets & Testing (SCM)” we are looking for an
Electrician or technician (m/f/d)
for instrumentation of superconducting magnets

Support for design and installation of instrumentation in superconducting magnets and test setups.Support for magnet testing.Set-up of data acquisition chains including the handling of calibration curves.Support of the development of the interface to the control system.Cable planning for the installation at the Super Fragment Separator.Analysis of measurement results.Error analysis for the measurement equipment and development of solutions.Maintenance of measurement equipment, contributions to further optimization.
Degree as electrician or technician in the field of electrical engineering or comparable.Background in measurement techniques or metrology. Knowledge in low-temperature
sensor technology preferable.Experience with data acquisition and methods for data analysis.Background in the handling of complex technical systems.Enthusiasm for working in scientific and technical environment as well as a high level of motivation for participation in a common project.English language fluently spoken and written, at least basic German skills.Solid background and Experience in MS-Office tools.
The position is initially for 3 years. As part of the FAIR project, there are good prospects for a longer-term career. Salary is as specified in the collective agreement for public employees (TVöD Bund).
