Early Career Group Leaders Physical Sciences applied to Biomedicine

The Crick is one of Europe’s largest biomedical research institutes. Central to the Crick’s mission is the development of multi-disciplinary approaches encompassing biological, physical and clinical sciences, to accelerate the discovery of fundamental biology processes behind human health and disease.

We are looking to recruit engineers, computer scientists, mathematicians, chemists or physicists who are applying their research to biomedicine and who wish to set up an independent research programme at the Crick, linked to a cognate department at our partner universities: Imperial College London, King’s College London and University College London. Successful candidates will be appointed to the university department, but establish their main research base at the Crick for six years.

The Crick will provide:

  • core-funded research support positions
  • laboratory space and consumables
  • access to state-of-the-art technology facilities

 At the end of the six years appointees will transfer their main research base to the university department with the opportunity of an ongoing Crick affiliation.
