Director, Center for Genomic Medicine
Massachusetts General Hospital, located in Boston, Massachusetts, is seeking a Director, Center for Genomic Medicine (CGM). CGM is one of five cross-departmental Thematic Research Centers at MGH and is leading an effort to complete the genomic medicine cycle – from genetic discoveries to mechanism to the clinic – by driving efforts to implement genomic medicine in areas that will have the greatest impact on human health. CGM has 45 faculty and 400+ research staff that occupy over 46,000 SF of research space. Together, CGM faculty bring in over 50M annually in research funding.
We are seeking a candidate with a national/international track record of scientific accomplishment in the field of human genetics and genomics research. The candidate should have a clear vision for fostering excellence in research, teaching and patient care, and have experience within a complex academic environment. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, fiscal and fundraising skills also desired.
The candidate should have an MD, PhD or MD/PhD degree. Also, the candidate should be qualified to be appointed at the professor or associate professor level at Harvard Medical School.
