The group studies adaptive immunity and immunogenetics. For more information about the research, see http://ki.se/research/karlsson-hedestam
Modern immunology generates large datasets using high-throughput sequencing techniques. The Karlsson Hedestam group is on the forefront of methodological developments in this space, using next generation sequencing and developing computational analyses (see www.IgDiscover.se) to process such datasets. These projects generate large amounts of data, and the group is seeking to expand its analytic support, looking for someone to contribute to data analysis, statistics and visualization, for several ongoing research projects.
Applicants should be proficient in English, have an undergraduate educational background in a computational or statistical discipline, be proficient in a programming language relevant to Data Science (eg. Python, R, or Julia), and have Data Science skills (data cleaning, scripting, visualization, etc).
