Purpose of the role: This role will evaluate emerging technologies, provide ad tech support for all new digital ad initiatives (including social media initiatives) and manage projects in line with commercial objectives, aimed at aligning with our goals on customer engagement in China. This position will also support commercial revenue through setup, delivery and optimization of digital ad campaigns for commercial projects, by utilizing both global and local data management platform and marketing automation systems where available.
Evaluate emerging technologies, providing ad tech support for all new digital ad initiatives (including social media initiatives) and managing projects in line with commercial objectives, ensuring Nature Research at the forefront of developments in the evolving digital marketing landscape in China ·
Fulfil and optimise digital advertising campaigns for commercial team in local language–e.g. Third party emails to those registered on naturechina.com, banner campaigns on naturechina.com, banners on Chinese table of contents e-alerts (ETOCs) ·
Create and send Chinese content alerts, monitoring and optimising
Maintain China marketing/email lists
Build bespoke html pages to support commercial B2B activity
Build and maintain a customer database of contacts to upsell commercial offerings and increase repeat customers, integrating sales leads generated on Nature China website into Salesforce
Develop and maintain expertise in digital marketing technologies and techniques, such as search, marketing automation and website development.
Evaluate, choose and liaise with local technology providers/marketing agencies/vendors on the selection of various digital/social media marketing tools/channels for local Marketing and Commercial teams.
Ensure that the marketing teams are exploiting available technology, including data management platform and marketing automation systems, to their fullest by being the subject matter expert and making recommendations on use.
Monitor and track metrics/KPIs for Commercial and Marketing products, analyse website traffic, users and activity and marketing campaign effectiveness to make recommendations.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Marketing, or related field or equivalent experience
Work experience in project management capacity
Excellent English communication skills (business level)
Excellent in XML/HTML/XHMTL/CSS
Proficient in use of web analytics applications (Google Analytics, Webtrends, Omniture, Coremetrics etc.)
Basic SQL skills (querying, performance optimisation, stored procedures & views)
Proficient in Photoshop/Sketch and Illustrator
A strong understanding of web technologies and principals include responsive design, SEO, PPC and knowledge of ad serving systems i.e. Google ad manager/ Revive
Experience of working with advertising creative
Previous experience of working with digital marketing tools and marketing automation
Related experience in working in technology focussed business
Can handle projects independently
Can debug/troubleshoot issues on the website as they arise
