Purpose of the role:
To support and further expand our presence in Greater China, bringing pedagogical expertise to design and execution of high quality academic consultancy and business development in the region, especially to work with sales and marketing team to win new accounts and new adoptions. Academic background is a must for this role.

• Identify market needs for academic consultancy in Greater China for key accounts and map out strategy
• Plan, design and deliver academic consultancy solution to drive business growth, especially support to win new adoptions
• Provide academic support to customers and sales teams including advising on materials, curriculum and ELT solutions
• Assist Sales and Key Account Managers to explore new business opportunities
• Expand and develop a team of freelancers across Greater China for academic consultancy
• Support marketing campaigns in terms of planning and developing marketing messages and materials
• Analyze our own and competitor products/services, key features and benefits
• Provide editorial feedback and field research to ensure suitability of new publications for the region

• A strategic thinker, high-level organising and planning skills
• Sound knowledge and understanding of ELT practice and methodology in China
• Professional capability to spot, design and deliver academic solutions to customers
• Filling the gap between products and market needs on local academic support, with strong commercial sense
• Customer focus and problem solving skills
• An excellent team player
• Office IT/MS Office skills

• Bilingual (native Mandarin Chinese, and good English)
• Bachelor’s Degree or above
• An internationally recognized ELT related professional qualification, preferably at a Diploma or Master’s level

• A minimum of 5 years ELT/curriculum teaching/teacher training experience, including teaching/trainer
experience in Greater China (across age groups and environments)
• Experience of design curriculum and provide academic support, in bilingual of Chinese and English, for local schools in ELT

Key relationships:
• Work closely with key account managers for Greater China
• Project-based joint works with central product team, central and regional marketing team
• Work closely with training team to upgrade both external and internal trainings
• Work closely with teachers in market in order to feed into academic support and training projects
• Develop and manage a network of academic consultants freelancers
