The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor to join an enthusiastic, collaborative and well-funded faculty. The successful candidate will be a MD, PhD or MD-PhD scientist with outstanding research accomplishments and a record of success in competing for independent research funding. The primary criteria for selection will be excellence and creativity in research and scholarship. Scientists working in virtually any area of human health and disease are invited to apply and will conduct both independent investigation that complements ongoing research at the institution and foster collaborative research with other Cedars-Sinai investigators. Twelve scientists and physician-scientists working in infectious disease, inflammation, cancer, cardiology and neuroscience have joined the department in the past three years and are supported by nearly $7,000,000 per year in research grants.
In addition to developing rigorous research programs, all faculty are expected to participate in graduate student and resident/fellow teaching, and to participate in academic administration through service on departmental and institutional committees. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience and appointment will include high quality modern laboratory space, excellent start-up support, exceptional benefits and relocation/housing support.
