Biological Laboratory Technician / Research Assistant (m/f/d)
Scope of the project:
We offer an exciting position in the field of cancer immunotherapy in a highly clinically relevant research area. The focus of the Immunopharmacology group (head: Prof. Dr. S. Kobold and Prof. Dr. Sebastian Endres) is the development of new anti-tumoral immunotherapies.
The successful candidate will be responsible for self-employed execution of experiments, the processing of patient samples and laboratory organization that includes ordering of reagents, breeding of mouse lines and the methodically teaching of doctoral students. The lab uses a wide variety of molecular biological approaches and methods: cell culture, real time PCR, ELISA and FACS as well as mice experiments (genotyping, tumor models, extracting bone marrow and spleen). A detailed training will be provided in all areas.
We are looking for highly motivated applicants (vocational, bachelor or master degree in biochemistry or related field) with precise working method and very good organization skills who like to work in a team of young people. The suitable candidate should have good skills in molecular biology, immunology and cell culture. The willingness to work with mice is a prerequisite. Fluency in English is mandatory.
Starting from April 1st 2020 we offer a technical assistant position for two years. The salary is based on the German public service scale (TV-L) taking into account the candidate’s background and experience. The vacancy will provide an industry-oriented project with collaboration partners in the pharma-industry in the large area of Munich.
