About the vacancies

At the Department of Biology, Faculty of Natural Sciences, at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) exist vacancies for three associate professors in the new research section targeting Multiscale Biology. The new colleagues will help us to integrate our plant research spanning from the molecular to the ecosystems level. Our new colleagues will cover research in plant physiology, molecular ecology and the computational modeling of plant and ecosystem processes, respectively. Associate professor in molecular plant physiology

We are aiming to hire a person with a strong track record in plant physiology using molecular methods and are particularly interested in applicants with research in lipid, carbohydrate, plant stress physiology or the epigenetic basis for stress adaptation.

We are aiming to hire a person with a strong track record that is using molecular methods to study ecological processes in plant populations and communities and are particularly interested in applicants with research related to below-ground processes.

Associate professor in ecosystems modeling

We are aiming to hire a person with a strong track record in quantitative modelling using a variety of data types ranging from measurements at the molecular to ecosystems level and are particularly interested in applicants with research addressing flow of energy and matter from the physiological to the ecosystems scale.
