The Department of Surgery at the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine and the University of Vermont Medical Center announce a search for a surgeon to join the Division of Surgical Oncology. The ideal candidate will have completed or will soon complete an SSO approved fellowship in Complex General Surgical Oncology. This person will be involved in the clinical care of a variety of different tumor types at University of Vermont Medical Center and affiliate network sites. There may also be a need to cover some General Surgery cases at affiliate sites as well. The candidate will also be a member of the University of Vermont Cancer Center. The candidate will be expected to be active in research activities, either clinical, translational or both and to have a teaching role for medical students and surgical residents. Successful candidates will be hired at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor in the Clinical Scholar Pathway depending on level of experience.
Successful candidates will also be considered for a leadership role representing the department of surgery in the University of Vermont Medical Center cancer service line.
This is a full-time, 12-month, salaried, faculty appointment and carries with it attending staff privileges at The University of Vermont Medical Center. Salary is competitive and commensurate with ability and experience.
