The Department of Land Resources and Environmental Sciences at Montana State University, Bozeman ( is seeking applicants for a tenure track faculty position in Environmental Systems Science. The department is seeking a collaborative colleague who will embrace a multi-disciplinary approach to understanding agricultural systems from production to consumption, in the context of broader environmental science. Research responsibilities include developing a nationally competitive program with a focus on agriculture, complementing departmental strengths in cropping systems, soil science, environmental hydrology, aquatic and terrestrial landscape hydroecology, biogeochemistry, land-atmosphere interactions, restoration ecology, land reclamation, and spatial sciences.

The position is responsible for teaching courses related to environmental and agricultural systems analysis at undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful candidate will participate in high-quality graduate and undergraduate programs, including undergraduate curricular advising, undergraduate research advising, and training of graduate students.
