Assistant/Associate Professor

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), a major teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, seeks applications for the position of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor at the Center for Virology and Vaccine Research (CVVR). The successful applicant should have a substantial track record of productive research with a PhD and/or MD degree.

Candidates should also have demonstrated the ability to work collaboratively with other scientists. Academic rank will be determined in accordance with successful experience and productivity of the candidate. The primary focus of CVVR is, but not exclusively, on immunology, virology, and vaccinology of infectious diseases.

Successful applicants will have access to a generous start-up package to complement their outstanding laboratory space, and access to state-of-the-art research facilities at CVVR, BIDMC and the Harvard Medical School area. The successful candidate is expected to build and maintain a world-class, extramurally funded research program centered around basic and translational immunology, virology, vaccinology, structural biology, systems biology, and/or immune correlates of protection. Candidates are expected to run an experimental laboratory and may also have a computational component to their research program.
