The Department of Integrative Biology and Pharmacology in the McGovern Medical School invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor studying regulation of cell signaling and its impact on cell or organismal physiology. We are especially interested in applicants using cutting-edge, quantitative or structural approaches to study cell signaling in cells or model organisms who will bring complementary expertise to a highly interactive, multi-disciplinary department with research interests ranging from basic membrane biology and molecular pharmacology to whole animal physiology and pathology. Highly qualified applicants with substantial extramural funding may also be considered for Associate Professor positions. Responsibilities include development of an extramurally funded, internationally recognized research program and active participation in medical and graduate education. McGovern Medical School is a part of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) and is located within the Texas Medical Center, which also includes Baylor College of Medicine, Rice University and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
