Assistant Professor, Term Tenure Track
The Department of Breast Medical Oncology invites applicants for a full-time Assistant Professor, term tenure track, position with experience in breast cancer clinical care. This faculty position reports to the chair of the Department of Breast Medical Oncology. The responsibilities will include clinical expertise in patient care management, participation in focused clinical and translational research, mentorship and training of junior faculty, fellows, staff, and other trainees, and contributions to the overall mission of the department. The program is comprised of dynamic interdisciplinary clinicians and researchers dedicated to improving prevention, detection, diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.
Candidates should demonstrate potential for innovative research that is competitive for peer-reviewed funding, publication of high-impact original findings and a collaborative mindset. It is anticipated that candidates will actively engage in clinical, translational or laboratory research and scholarly activities. This position requires the ability to synthesize information, formulate creative approaches for investigative inquiry pertaining to breast cancer, and function in a team environment. The successful candidate will be able to provide specialized breast cancer care, participate in innovative research, engage and inspire students and provide administrative support and leadership.

- D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree
- Board eligible or board certified in Medical Oncology or related field
- Board eligible or Licensed by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners
- Certification in Basic Life Support or Advanced Cardiac Life Support
