            The Department of Cardiology at Boston Children’s Hospital and the Department of Genetics at Harvard Medical School invite applications for a tenure-track appointment at the Assistant Professor level. The candidate will be fully employed by the Department of Cardiology at Boston Children’s Hospital (http://www.childrenshospital.org; http://cvrlabs.org/), and the appointee’s laboratory space will be in the Cardiovascular Research Laboratories at Boston Children’s Hospital. The candidate will also be appointed as a full faculty member and active participant in the HMS Department of Genetics (http://genetics.med.harvard.edu).

            The successful candidate is expected to direct innovative and independent research broadly relevant to pediatric heart disease, including cardiovascular development and disease, cardiac regeneration, and novel therapies for pediatric cardiovascular disease. Candidates will be expected to participate in the teaching activities of the Departments of Cardiology and Genetics, which includes teaching and mentoring graduate students, research fellows, and may include HMS clinical trainees. Applicants must hold a Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D., or M.D. degree, have completed post-doctoral training, and have a strong record of research accomplishments.
