EU-OPENSCREEN is a new European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC) with a focus on chemical biology. It was founded in April 2018 and is supported with membership fees from eight European countries: the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Norway, Poland and Spain. More countries are preparing their participation.
We offer researchers from Europe and the world access to a compound library and a broad range of technologies for the identification of chemical tool compounds. Results will be made available in an open access database to support research in life sciences and their applications in medicine and agriculture.

For our newly established Compound Management Laboratory, we are looking for a talented analytical chemist (m/f/d) for the quality control of the chemical compounds collection.


  • LC-MS analysis of chemical compound for determination of identity and purity
    Characterization of physical-chemical properties of chemical compounds a with a multimode plate reader
    Support in running the compound management facility (processing samples with liquid handler)


  • Master´s degree (MSc or equivalent) in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry or equivalent.
    At least 2 years’ experience with LC-MS and other analytical methods (NMR). Experience in developing analytical methods, analysis of MS spectra and troubleshooting.
    Good laboratory practice and ability to work and to think independently.
    Good IT knowledge (LC/MS analytical software, chemistry software, MS Office etc.).
    Team spirit.
    Previous experience with liquid handlers, compound management, and programming is a plus.
    Very good knowledge of English; knowledge of at least one additional European language is a plus.
