Clinical Associate, Gastrointestinal Medical Oncology

Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center in the National Capitol Region

This position can only take physicians with a US license.

 The Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center / Department of Oncology is seeking applicants for a Clinical Associate in Gastrointestinal Medical Oncology in the National Capitol Region. The applicant should be willing to see patients with all types of gastrointestinal cancer, but a candidate with a willingness to see patients with hepatocellular cancers would be preferable. The applicant should have a primary interest in clinical practice, but will be encouraged to actively enroll patients in available clinical trials. 

 

Candidates who have had at least 3 years as faculty and/or in clinical practice are encouraged to apply. The candidate will be expected to see patients at the two sites in the National Capitol Region, for a total of 3 days a week, and actively participate in the regional GI tumor board. The candidate will also be able to participate in GI Oncology multi-disciplinary clinics at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. Finally, the candidate will have opportunities for leadership, mentorship, and scholarship, working with Med Onc, Surg Onc, GI, and/or IR faculty focused on GI cancer research in the National Capitol Region and/or in Baltimore. 

 

This individual should be eligible for licensure in the State of Maryland and Washington, DC.  The academic appointment will be commensurate with the individual’s experience. Applicants should forward a curriculum vitae, a description of the candidate’s primary academic research interests, and a brief description of their interests in this position to the search committee chairs, Drs.
