Computational Biologists (f/m/d) Full-time and permanentWe are hiring! Join our computational biology team to support Evotec on the data driven R&D Autobahn to cures! If you are passionate about solving complex puzzles and the idea of mining biological data from thousands of patients or compounds sounds exciting to you, apply to join our computational biology team!
Your key responsibilities:Our team is fully integrated in the drug discovery process, and we are mainly working with large-scale OMICs data (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics) with biological focus on metabolic diseases and inflammation. We are looking for candidates in several business areas:
- Identification of novel drug targets and disease signatures in large patient cohorts
- Target triaging and validation
- Hit ID & triaging as well as MoA & Tox prediction for Cpd screens
Use your biological expertise in combination with strong understanding of OMICs data to
- Perform integrative analysis of multidimensional biological data to support project teams with novel, biologically relevant insights and hypotheses
- Drive development of tools for data interpretation and visualization in an interdisciplinary team of computational scientists, bioinformaticians and biologists
- Work at the interface of dry and wet lab, communicate results to project teams within Evotec and external clients
- PhD in life sciences or related field with expertise in metabolic disease/inflammation and OMICs data analysis
- Experience with R-based data analysis
- Expertise in early Drug Discovery is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff, collaborators and customers
- Experience in working on and with interdisciplinary teams
- Fluency in English is required
