Your key responsibilities:
- Exchange with Biochemistry and Mass Spectrometry groups, you can develop or envision tools of impact and new relevant analyses
- Maintain communication within interdisciplinary teams during projects. Not only you have to explain your results internally and to clients, but also gathering from them insightful details suggesting limitations or attractive opportunities for analysis
- Apply our general in-house analysis workflows, always keeping an open eye to specific aspects of the project that could bring value to clients
- Join teams of life scientists to support and advice Bioinformatic aspects of the entire project: from experimental design and methodology, to creative ways of extracting and presenting knowledge from omics data
Your ideal qualifications:
- Master’s or PhD degree in (Applied) Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or a related discipline
- Sound working experience in industry or biological context, and the ability to interrogate high throughput data, systematically
- Strong Programming skills in scripted languages, particularly R, Python, Matlab, or similar
- Technical knowledge on the field of proteomics, and its implications on data analysis are desirable
- Desirable is domain knowledge in some major area within life science for Pharma (e.g. oncology, biomarkers, or in connection with high throughput technologies and their applications and pitfalls)
- Knowledge of Linux/Windows operations from command line is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to work independently and to contribute to the progress of your projects
- Professional language skills in English – both written and spoken
