Job Details
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a full-time, fixed term position as a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Discipline of Civil Engineering at the University of Galway, Ireland.
This position is funded by Science Foundation Ireland through MaREI - the national Centre for Energy, Climate and Marine research and is available from 1st November 2024 to contract end date of 30th April 2025.
Salary: Postdoctoral Researcher salary scale €44,346 - €56,764 per annum, (subject to the project’s funding limitations), and pro rata for shorter and/or part-time contracts.

Informatics, Data Analytics, Physical and Computational Sciences Science
NUI Galway’s researchers in informatics use their world-wide network of partners to take part in global standardisation efforts and to improve the way people and businesses communicate and interact. Research also addresses the problems presented by vast data sets flowing from imaging activities that need significant computing power to reduce, analyse and visualize and further research looks at modelling and simulation, which are integral to almost all physical and biological sciences.
