The Department of Psychology and Biobehavioral Sciences at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is recruiting for a clinically focused open-rank faculty position.  We are looking for a psychologist with interest and experience in working with diverse groups of young children with catastrophic illness. The position can be filled at the Assistant, Associate or Full faculty level, and can be within the Clinical track (20% protected research time) or the Clinician-Scientist track (40-60% protected research time) based on candidate preference, experience, and goals.

St. Jude is a tertiary care hospital focused on treatment of catastrophic illnesses of childhood including cancer, sickle cell disease and other hematologic disorders, HIV and other infectious diseases, endocrinology, and neurological disorders. Prior experience with these populations is desirable but not required. We are particularly interested in applicants with a focus on early childhood development.

The Department includes 24 faculty across clinical, clinician-scientist and research tracks, and houses robust clinical and research training programs at the post-doctoral fellowship, pre-doctoral internship, and graduate student practicum levels. The Department also maintains comprehensive clinical-research and data science resources. The Psychology Clinic is staffed by pediatric psychologists and  neuropsychologists and masters-level examiners. A full range of consultation, intervention and assessment services are provided to St. Jude patients in the outpatient and inpatient settings. Psychology is a highly valued discipline within interdisciplinary care teams and is well-integrated into medical care. Learn more about the Department at https://www.stjude.org/research/departments/psychology.html

Candidates must have a PhD or PsyD in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology from an APA-approved program with an APA- or CPA-approved doctoral internship. Completion of a post-doctoral fellowship in applied psychology is expected. The psychologist will be required to have licensure as a psychologist with Health Service Provider designation in the State of Tennessee.

Salary and benefit packages are highly competitive and commensurate with experience. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

Interested candidates should submit a current CV and cover letter with statement of interests and goals directly online.
