We are now recruiting for the position of Executive Director, Solutions

The Executive Director, Solutions will be a member of the Executive Committee and will be responsible for supporting transformative research investments, public engagement, and policy influence in the Solutions programmes (Climate and Health, Infectious Diseases, and Mental Health) to develop solutions, including pharmaceuticals, technologies, and other interventions, that deliver significant worldwide results in health and wellbeing.

 

The Executive Director, Solutions will be a member of the Executive Committee and will be responsible for leading transformative research in the Solutions programmes (Climate and Health, Infectious Diseases, and Mental Health) to develop treatments, products, and cures that deliver significant worldwide results in health, wellbeing, and commercial enterprise.

 

Key responsibilities and tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading delivery of Wellcome's 3 Solutions programmes, driving strategic thinking, solutions, translation and implementation

  • Championing new models of innovation, multi-stakeholder partnerships, coalition-building, and collective impact

  • Advocating for Wellcome's mission through a range of media and public fora, demonstrating what Wellcome has achieved across its strategic partnerships

Our Hybrid Way of Working

At Wellcome we have a hybrid way of working which is 3 days in our Euston Road offices (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) with the remaining 2 days working either remotely or in the office. The appointed candidate should be willing to travel internationally.
