About the Position
Opportunities are available for outstanding and motivated scientists funded by Snow Medical. As a Snow Postdoctoral Researcher, you will be part of an exceptional research team in the lab of a Snow Medical Research Foundation Fellow based at a leading Australian biomedical research institute (https://www.snowmedical.org.au/snow-fellowship/our-snow-fellows). You will be part of a unique network, have the opportunity to lead significant projects, and develop new skills in a supportive environment with a strong emphasis on scientific excellence and a focus on impactful questions.
Snow Postdoctoral Researchers (https://www.snowmedical.org.au/snow-fellowship/snow-postdoc-careers) will receive a competitive salary/package and investment into their leadership and professional development. Snow Postdoctoral Researchers are expected to show scientific leadership within the themes of the host laboratory and may be provided with the opportunity to manage a small team, depending on experience. The program will support career development through mentoring and leadership training, and provide networking opportunities.
Snow Postdoctoral Researchers will also be eligible and encouraged to participate in short-term placements in other Snow Fellow laboratories to gain expertise in new techniques, bring additional skills to the host laboratory or institution, and broaden their network.
You will be provided with:

What Snow Fellows are looking for:
- A PhD in a relevant discipline for the appropriate Snow Medical laboratory, such as Biochemistry, Molecular and Cell Biology, Genomics, Computational Genomics, Functional Genomics, Epigenetics, Transcriptional Regulation, or Immunology.
- Outstanding publication track record, with demonstrated ability to lead projects to completion.
- Expertise in methods and approaches relevant to specific Snow Medical programs, for example, spatial transcriptomics, comparative genomics, functional genomics, genetics and epigenetics, bulk & single-cell multi-omics, immunology, bioinformatics, quantitative and systems biology, developmental biology, and data science.
- Excellent time management, communication (written and oral), and interpersonal skills.
