Regenerative Biology and Medicine encompasses interdisciplinary biological and translational fields that aims to subvert human disease, trauma and aging. Within the frame of the Chinese Institutes for Medical Research (CIMR), we have established an Institute for Regenerative Biology and Medicine (IRBM), headed by Prof. Yuval Rinkevich, a leader in the field of tissue repair. Under Prof. Rinkevich’s guidance, IRBM aims to lead research in regenerative medicine across layers of biological organization, from molecules and cells, to whole animals and to translational medicine, generating a multidisciplinary hub for basic and therapeutic discovery. The Institute enjoys dedicated funding programs, 13 core facilities that accelerate basic and applied regeneration, and joint synergistic activities with clinical departments, medical schools and hospitals across Beijing.

The Institute for Regenerative Biology and Medicine (IRBM) is now looking for outstanding scientists at all ranks interested in understanding the fundamentals of repair and regeneration, and developing novel therapeutics in all disease areas. Those engaged in all areas in Regenerative Biology and Medicine, including but not limited to disease immunology, ageing, biochemistry of extracellular matrix, fibroblast biology, model organisms of regeneration, computational biology, advanced tissue engineering, cell/gene/antibody therapy, as well as those interested in diseases, are encouraged to apply. We are particularly interested in those candidates who have experience developing novel molecular and cellular technologies that may aid therapeutics development. Successful candidates will have opportunities to collaborate with clinical colleagues in the Capital Medical University-Affiliated Hospitals and have access to a broad range of patient samples to conduct basic and translational research.

The Chinese Institutes for Medical Research, Beijing (CIMR, Beijing) is a brand-new research institution in Beijing, China. Its goal is to make ground-breaking discoveries in medical sciences and facilitate the translation of these discoveries into innovative products for patient care. Closely associated with and physically located on the campus of Capital Medical University (CMU), it will leverage the exceptionally rich clinical resources available at the 20 CMU-affiliated hospitals. Despite its youthful age, CIMR has lofty ambitions and aims to become a premier, world-class medical research hub.
