Job Details
This Postdoctoral Scholar position is available immediately in Dr. Chalet Tan's laboratory in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), which is supported by NIH-funded projects. The main research focus of Dr. Tan's group is to develop innovative formulation strategies for sustained/targeted drug delivery and immunotherapy. The candidate is expected to lead independent projects and accomplish multifaceted research goals. Primary responsibilities are to perform nanoformulation preparation and characterization, and in vivo studies (pharmacokinetics, efficacy evaluation in murine models), and to help mentor graduate students in the lab.
Qualifications
PhD in pharmaceutical sciences, analytical chemistry, or a closely related discipline.
The candidate must have at least four years of PhD training with first-author publications in peer-reviewed journals. Expertise in nanomedicine, pharmacokinetics, HPLC analysis, and/or experimental therapeutics is desirable.
