Postdoc positions are available for Joshua Yuan’s lab at Washington University in St. Louis and Susie Dai’s lab at Texas A&M University for the most qualified candidates. The postdocs will work on advancing electro-bio systems for CO2 conversion to fuels, chemicals, and materials, developing lignocellulosic biomass-based materials, designing biological and hybrid systems for persistent chemical remediation, as well as engineering microbes and bioprocesses for bioplastics and other sustainable products. We are particularly interested in candidates with strong backgrounds in electrocatalysis and electrochemistry, microbial fermentation and synthetic biology, biomass-based materials, protein chemistry, enzyme technology, and fungal biotechnology. For all areas, multidisciplinary expertise is appreciated, but not necessary. The general lab environment is collaborative, friendly, and constructive. We are seeking highly motivated and productive scientists with relevant background and teamwork capacity. The two labs nurture a collaborative environment with ample opportunities for publications, conference presentations, grant writing, professional training, and career development. Salary is commensurate with experience, and full-scale employee benefits will be provided. If you are interested in such a position, please don’t hesitate to contact Joshua Yuan, Lopata Professor and Chair of Energy, Environmental and Chemical Engineering, at joshua.yuan@wustl.edu and/or Dr. Susie Dai, Professor at sydai@tamu.edu
