The Westlake Laboratory of Life Sciences and Biomedicine (WLLSB) is one of the first comprehensive research institutes founded by Zhejiang province, China.  Sponsored by Westlake University, WLLSB strives to generate breakthroughs in both basic and translational research, focusing on aging-associated diseases and cancer, two of the most prominent and challenging areas in biomedical research.

WLLSB invites applications for multiple tenure-track/tenured faculty positions at all academic levels. Successful applicants will also be appointed as adjunct faculty members at Westlake University. Applicants with expertise in aging and neurodegeneration and related areas are particularly encouraged to apply.

Competitive candidates must hold Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degrees, an outstanding record of research accomplishments, an innovative future research plan, an ability to achieve teaching excellence at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive community in the practice and teaching of science. Successful candidates will be expected to establish a vibrant research program, teach graduate and undergraduate courses, and participate in other academic activities at WLLSB and Westlake University.

1. Cover letter: rank of the position that you are applying for, an overview of the goals of your research program, your most significant scientific accomplishments, and a summary of experiences and qualifications that position you to achieve your goals.

2. Curriculum vitae: a complete list of publications should be included.

3. Statement of Research Summary (maximum of 1 page) and Research Proposals (maximum of 3 pages).

4. For applicants of tenure-track assistant professor positions, 3 letters of reference should be arranged to be sent directly by referees.
