The Nanotechnology Centre, and Centre of Energy and Environmental Technologies, at the VŠB–Technical University of Ostrava is seeking highly motivated, ambitious and interdisciplinary post-doctoral scientists in the fields of nanomaterials, catalysis (photo- electro- , generally all aspects of heterogeneous catalysis) and in electrochemical energy storage. The ideal candidates should have a strong background in the field, evident from their publication record. The work focuses on interdisciplinary research aimed at understanding the challenges and identifying innovative solutions by designing and leveraging the properties of advanced (nano)materials and methodologies. The synthesized materials will be thoroughly characterized and tested for the targeted application and beyond, such as in energy conversion, catalysis, and photocatalysis via the interaction with other team members. The successful applicants will become part of a focused and motivated international team with exceptional infrastructure available at the lab.
The positions are part of a larger collaborative effort, so the fellows will also be responsible for managing interactions with additional teams and contribute to project meetings, administration, and reporting.
The position requires:
- independently solving complex scientific research tasks in their field,
- actively publishing high quality scientific articles,
- conducting independent research and collaborate with other members of the research team,
- data collecting for specific project outputs and their completion,
- participating in the research activities of the living laboratory, or collaborating in the research activities of other living laboratories,
- participating in the implementation of collaborations within research programme
