Full Professorship (W3) of Clinical Pharmacology (Chair)


commencing on October 1, 2024.

The professorship is fully responsible for research and teaching in Clinical Pharmacology. This professorship is attached to the position as Head of the Institute of Clinical Pharmacology to be implemented at the University Hospital of LMU Munich.

With respect to networking, a close collaboration with research consortia of the Faculty of Medicine and the University, as well as with the German Health Centers, in particular the German Center for Translational Cancer Research (DKTK), the Bavarian Center for Cancer Research (BZKF) as well as research networks in immune oncology and cellular therapies are explicitly expected. Therefore, a leader with good communication skills and proven clinical and scientific experience and expertise in this field is sought.

LMU Munich seeks to appoint a highly qualified academic with profound experience in clinical pharmacology with a focus on immune oncology, especially the development of cellular therapeutic approaches in oncology. Prerequisites for this position are a university degree, a doctoral degree or a comparable specific qualification, teaching skills at university level, excellent academic achievements and a productive and promising research program. Board approval by a chamber of physicians as specialist in clinical pharmacology is necessary. In particular, excellence must be demonstrated through publications in top-journals, patents as well as competitive individual and consortia funding.
