School Profile

The School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering (SPOE) at Guangdong University of Technology is a leading research institute in China, houses four departments: Applied Physics, Electronic Science and Technology, Optoelectronic Information Science and Engineering, and Quantum Information Science. SPOE has emerged as a comprehensive and multi-disciplinary research and educational school, focusing on basic research activities in Theoretical and Experimental Condensed Matter Physics, Optical Physics, Acoustics, and multi-disciplinary engineering research. Job Description:

Job Title: Full Professors and Chair Professor

Qualification/ Experience (Required):

1. Ph.D (or equivalent) degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Materials Science.

2. Demonstrated leading role as a Principal Investigator or key contributor to high-level scientific research with significant achievements.

Job Title: Tenure-Track Associate Professors -Class A

Qualification/ Experience (Required):

1. Ph.D (or equivalent) degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Materials Science.

2. Demonstrated experience as an Independent Investigator or key contributor to high-level research with excellent achievements. Previous experience as an assistant professor is not required.

Job Title: Tenure-Track Associate Professors -Class B

Qualification/ Experience (Required):

1. Ph.D (or equivalent) degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Materials Science.

2. Demonstrated experience as a key contributor to high-level research with respectable achievements

Job Title: Post-Doc.

Qualification/ Experience (Required):

1. Ph.D (or equivalent) degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Materials Science.

2. Demonstrated potential as a key contributor to high-level research with certain achievements.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience: Full professor: USD $105-150K, Associate Professor: USD $80-100K, Assistance Professor: USD $53-75K, Post-Doc.: USD $50-60K
