The Kerl work group identifies mechanisms of cellular heterogeneity and cellular communication within pediatric tumors to answer translational questions. One focus is the interaction of the tumor cells with infiltrating cells. Therefore we expect a candidate with a strong biological background, including experiences in cancer biology, immunology and/or neuronal development. We expect that the candidate has strong experimental experiences (e. g. single- cell technologies, 3D model systems, in vivo models) and experiences in (bioinformatic) data analyses. In addition, the candidate should be experienced in the organisation of a research group and in the acquisition of third-party funds.
