Job Details
The HIT Center for Life Sciences (HCSL, http://hcls.hit.edu.cn) was established in 2016 at the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT). As HIT's first special academic zone and a pilot reform of the scientific research system, HCLS adheres to academic orientation with innovation and operates the tenure-track and PI responsibility systems in accordance with international standards. We truly invite exceptional young talents from home and abroad to explore the unknown mysteries of nature, develop their careers, and teach the future young scientists, which will help HCLS become a world-class fundamental life science research center.
HCLS has provided PIs with globally competitive salaries, a first-rate public scientific research platform, and a scholarly environment since its inception, all in an effort to inspire them to devote their efforts to fundamental scientific inquiry and the development of cutting-edge technologies, with the ultimate goal of producing groundbreaking original research achievements. A number of research accomplishments have recently been published in top journals both at home and overseas, including Nature, Science, Molecular Cell, Nature Structural & Molecular Biology, Nature Chemical Biology, Cell Research, PNAS, and others. Zhiwei Huang's group released "Structural basis of assembly of the human TCR-CD3 complex" in Nature in 2019. The high-resolution cryo-electron microscopy structure of the human T-cell receptor-co-receptor (TCR-CD3) complex (containing all eight subunits) was resolved for the first time in this study, which was a significant milestone in understanding the cellular adaptive immune mechanism and was written into European and American classic biology textbooks.
