The SBME in Vancouver, BC, Canada invites applications for various positions to work on a team-based project spanning pluripotent stem cells, lung differentiation, and genomics in the de Boer, Shakiba, Yachie, Zandstra, and Lynn labs.
The project is in collaboration with United Therapeutics and seeks to enable the robust, large-scale production of lung cells from patient-specific induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). The project involves single-cell RNA-seq, DNA barcoding, reprogramming, high-throughput perturbation (e.g. Perturb-seq), and lung cell differentiation. We are looking for early and/or mid, and advanced career candidates for the following faculty/staff positions that are open to all applicants with a MASc/MSc and PhD/MD, or equivalent academic qualifications with a strong background in either computational or experimental biology:
