W2-Professorship for Cardiac Electrophysiology

At the Faculty of Medicine of Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn, a

is to be filled as soon as possible at the Heart Center of the University Hospital Bonn.

We are looking for a recognized individual in the field of clinical and scientific electrophysiology. Expertise in both basic science and clinical electrophysiology research as well as extensive experience in interventional-ablative and device-based treatment of cardiac arrhythmias is required. The position is located at the Heart Center the University Hospital Bonn in the Medical Clinic and Polyclinic II - Cardiology, Pneumology, Angiology, Internal Intensive Care Medicine - and is associated with a senior physician (“Oberarzt”) position.
The successful applicant should strengthen and further develop existing profile areas, focal points and research networks of the Faculty of Medicine. Excellent scientific performance and significant experience in attracting competitive external funding are expected.

Requirements for employment are a completed university degree in medicine or natural sciences and completed specialist training in internal medicine and cardiology, as well as habilitation or proof of equivalent scientific achievements and experience in teaching in accordance with § 36 of the Higher Education Act of North Rhine-Westphalia.
