The Mandrup group in Center for Adipocyte Signaling - ADIPOSIGN hereby announces an open PhD position for outstanding candidates. We seek a candidate with a keen interest in applying and developing experimental and computational approaches to investigate murine and human adipocytes and gain an in-depth understanding of how obesity affects adipocyte function in the different depots.

The position is based in the Functional Genomics & Metabolism Research Unit, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Southern Denmark. The department offers an international working environment with state-of-the-art facilities for next generation sequencing, mass spectrometry, and microscopy.

We expect the applicants to have:
* A strong background in molecular biology, Biomedicine, or Computational Systems Biology
* Documented experience with cell biology or NGS data analysis
* Excellent collaborative skills and an interest to work in an interdisciplinary centre.
