Dr. Warren Leonard’s laboratory, the Laboratory of Molecular Immunology (LMI) and the Immunology Center, National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), National Institutes of Health (NIH), seeks to hire a creative and motivated Computational Biology Staff Scientist with expertise related to epigenomics, genomics, biostatistics, and systems biology approaches to join an interactive exciting group. Our laboratory focuses on molecular immunology particularly related to cytokines that control critical immune processes related to human disease. We use ChIP-Seq, RNA-Seq, ATAC-Seq, Hi-ChIP, at both bulk and single-cell level, and a range of other sequencing approaches to analyze genome-wide distribution of chromatin modifications and DNA-binding factors, global gene expression, as well as whole exome and whole genome analysis.

 

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. degree or equivalent with at least 3 years of post-doctoral experience but please express interest even if more junior with outstanding qualifications. Candidates should have an excellent track record of productivity judged by peer reviewed publications, with experience in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or Statistics, and knowledge of R, Python, and C or C++. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to pursue research interests in an interdisciplinary setting and advance their research career in the supportive intramural environment of the NIH campus.
