Are you interested in mammalian lipid metabolism, in vivo perfusion techniques and metabolomics incl. spatial metabolomics to understand the function of dermal adipose tissue? A three-year PhD scholarship in molecular metabolism and metabolomics is available from 1 September 2023 at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU).

Outstanding candidates with a strong background in mammalian metabolism and molecular biology applied on mice and mammalian cell cultures are invited to apply. The successful candidate should have an MSc degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biomedicine or similar. Applicants must have a strong experimental background in molecular metabolism and be able to handle mice and mammalian cell cultures. The candidate must have high intrinsic motivation and capacity for independent work, and excellent communication skills and proficiency in spoken and written English.
