Postdoctoral Fellow Positions in Cancer Research
Position Description:
The Georgia Cancer Center at the Augusta University is now seeking to fill two postdoctoral fellow positions in cancer research. The successful candidates will utilize biochemical/genomics approaches and genetically-engineered mouse models to study the metabolic stress response, ferroptosis, and metabolic alterations in prostate cancer (Cell Death Diff 27: 662, 2020; Cell Rep 36: 109706. 2021). They will also join our ongoing efforts in the development of innovative therapeutic strategies for the treatment of advanced cancer . The Georgia Cancer Center at the Augusta University is the only state-run cancer center in Georgia. Qualifications:
Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, or related fields, and should be highly motivated, independent, and have demonstrated productivity. Applicants must have strong research experience in cancer research and/or molecular biology, and is competent at molecular biology and cell biology techniques such as molecular cloning, co-immunoprecipitation, Western blotting, and fluorescence microscopy. Experience with protein purification and/or animal work is a plus.
