The joint laboratory of Prof. Dr. Daoguang Yan, Shuzhong Cui, Wenbin Zhong, Jun Xu, and Mingchuan Li in Affiliated Cancer Hospital and Institute of Guangzhou Medical University is seeking six self-motivated postdoctoral fellows to lead multiple funded projects. We focus on understanding the fundamental role of phospholipid metabolism and related signaling transduction in tumorigenesis, and published a series of works in high-impact journals in recent years (Science Translational Medicine2022, Blood 2022, Circulation 2018, Circulation Research 2016, Nature Machine Intelligence 2020, Nature Communications 2022 and 2016, Cell Reports 2016, J. Med. Chem. 2018 and 2015). We take the advantage of clinical sample library and applies advanced technologies, such as genome-wide CRISPR screening, single-cell sequencing, spatial multi-omics analysis, transgenic rodent models and AI-driven drug discovery, to study virus-induced tumorigenesis, anti-cancer drug resistance and relevant clinical translation.
The postdoctoral fellows will be provided with competitive salary (330,000-550,000 RMB/year), based on individual previous publication record and achievement during postdoc implementation. Moreover, the postdoctoral fellows will have support from the PIs and the University to build up their own career path, e.g. grant writing, presentation in conferences, and publishing.
The qualified candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in a relevant field such as molecular biology, medical science, bioinformatics, medicinal chemistry, and biomaterial. Candidates who have mastered the experimental skills in CRISPR-editing, organoid culture, and mouse handling will be given the priority.
Job Duties:
- Work with the PI to develop hypothesis and design experiments
- Plan, direct and conduct specialized and advanced research experiments
