The laboratory of Dr. Claudia Jakubzick at Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine is seeking highly motivated, independent postdoctoral researchers to join our team. Our lab is focused on investigating the role of mononuclear phagocytes in the immune system, with three main projects that require extensive investigation.

These projects include:
1.    Investigating the role of interstitial macrophages in the nervous system and infectious diseases. 
2.    Exploring the role of natural antibody-producing B cells in cancer, autoimmunity, and type 2 immunity. 
3.    Studying the role of monocyte-derived dendritic cells in regulating dendritic cells.
As a postdoctoral fellow, you will have access to a fully-equipped laboratory with all the tools and technology needed to accomplish your research goals. The position offers a competitive salary based on the NIH pay lines.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: 
1.    Conducting experiments using animal models, as well as experimental methodologies relating to cellular immunology and molecular biology. 
2.    Analyzing data using scRNAseq technology, as well as basic knowledge of R, DESeq2, and Seurat packages. 
3.    Independently driving projects and developing innovative research ideas. 
4.    Collaborating with other team members, including students, technicians, and other postdoctoral fellows. 

Qualifications:
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
1.    Ph.D. in immunology or cellular biology. 
2.    Strong background in bioinformatics, including basic knowledge of R, DESeq2, and Seurat packages. 
3.    Strong work ethic, ambition, and the capability of driving a project independently.
4.    Experience working with animal models and experimental methodologies relating to cellular immunology and molecular biology.
