Responsibilities
Completes required work order forms and follows up on repair orders to ensure maintenance is completed in a timely manner. Performs a variety of duties in the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and repair tasks; performs minor troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments on equipment, appliances, and/or machinery. Exercises discretion in identifying projects requiring the services of a higher skilled crafts person. Assists highly skilled workers involved in the adjustment, maintenance, part replacement and repair of equipment or machinery. Activates and deactivates building alarms and responds to alarm calls during and after regular work hours. Responds to the Foundation emergency telephone/radio and contacts the appropriate authority, i.e., fire department, Foundation security, police department, or contractors. Notifies management of any problems and status of the situation. Maintains a safe work environment by following safety rules and federal regulations. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.


Qualifications
Graduate of a trade or technical school and 1 year of maintenance experience with mechanical, plumbing, and/or electrical equipment or combination of education and experience.
