BRIGHAM AND WOMEN’S HOSPITAL CHIEF OF BREAST PATHOLOGY

            The Department of Pathology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a principal teaching affiliate of the Harvard Medical School, is seeking an academically oriented, Board-certified faculty pathologist with appropriate training, established skills and significant experience in diagnostic breast pathology to serve as Chief of our Breast Pathology Service.  Applicants should also have the ability to conduct independent clinical/translational research, as well as multidisciplinary investigation.   The Department is staffed by more than 120 faculty and more than 55 residents and clinical fellows in anatomic and clinical pathology in a subspecialty-oriented model. The Anatomic Pathology services collectively handle over 85,000 surgicals, 40,000 cytology specimens and 10,000 cytogenetics samples annually and is responsible for provision of pathology services at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where there are also ample opportunities for multidisciplinary collaborations, as there are at multiple other Harvard-affiliated institutions.  Applicants should be committed to excellent patient care, as well as research, scholarship, and effective teaching. The academic rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor or Associate Professor and salary will be commensurate with experience and accomplishments.
