The IRCAN teams are well-positioned to address questions about aging and age-related diseases using collaborative, multi-disciplinary, comparative and technology-oriented approaches as well as with the use of different model organisms. The Institute is actively involved in developing novel tools and technologies as a strategic focus to answer fundamental questions related to aging. Moreover, emphasizing aging research represents a strategic focus not only of IRCAN but also of UCA with a rapidly evolving environment demanding greater research and knowledge in this thematic from the academic, medical and industrial communities.
