Research in the department investigates genetic drivers and signaling networks that pertain to cancer, environmental stresses that contribute to tumor initiation, novel post-translational modifications that drive immune escape and the metastatic process, the role of organ-specific microenvironments in tumor progression and metastasis (including the brain and bone) and epigenetic regulation of tumor plasticity and immune escape.
