Massachusetts General Hospital, the main teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, is seeking applications for research scientist/postdoc fellow in image-based machine learning and data science.  The lab focuses on identifying, classifying, and monitoring cancer and toxicity biomarkers by integrating clinical, genomics, bioinformatics, and imaging systems using multimodal computational and machine learning methods.  The ideal candidate should have a strong experience in computational modeling of topological, imaging, multiomic, and clinical datasets using open-source tools. 

Requirements:
Highly motivated candidates who have recently earned a PhD or Master degree in Computational Statistics, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Proficiency in machine learning theory/application and algorithm development.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming language, especially Python, MATLAB, R/SAS, is required.
  • Proficiency with DL toolkits such as CNN, NN, RNN, PyTorch, TDA, Tensorflow, Keras is required.
  • Proficiency with medical imaging libraries such as PyDicom, ITK, Open CV, HDF5 format is required.
  • Proficiency in statistical processes and its applications in machine learning.
  • Experience in bioinformatics and computational neuroimaging preferable.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with team members consisting of clinicians, radiologists, physicists, statisticians, trainees/students.
  • Strong communication skills in written and verbal English are required.
